CB Business

From temporary placement to professional casts

One of the most daring initiatives of World Intec is taking place here, at the CB Business. In the past, temporary placement was just that: simply a person to fill in a job vacancy, most likely until the temp hire either quit and another one rehired or a permanent worker was employed?an often-repeated cycle that contributed little in the way of real value for the client or the outsourced hire. And with the pool of temp hires in Japan shrinking and retention rates falling, outsourced work companies vie against one another to recruit them in a constant, costly struggle of diminishing returns. World Intec has a better idea. We call it “casting,” in which we would not only hire but train temporary workers regardless of experience to fulfill professional roles, as would men and women in a theatric production. The members of our “cast” no longer consider themselves expendable cogs in an uncaring corporate machine, but vital players who provide a meaningful service for our clients a nd for themselves. Our clients benefit because they have an increasing number of job positions that must be outsourced, and our employees benefit through the training we provide and job experience they gain. They also have the choice of employment term, be it for a day or long-term, as well as opportunities for career advancement or transition from temp to perm. Our Division currently services a wide range of retail sector businesses, from superbrands and apparel makers to jewelry companies, department store chains and cosmetic firms. World Intec’s casting initiative is a new solution in the outsourced work services business, one that is reshaping the way people in Japan work.
